There are six days left of the summer transfer window and reports suggest we could yet see one of the biggest moves in football history take place.

In a summer which has already seen Lionel Messi transfer to Paris Saint-Germain rumours are now suggesting his great sporting rival Cristiano Ronaldo could be on the move as well.

The Portuguese forward is entering the final year of his current deal with Italian side Juventus but it is suggested he wants out - with Manchester City one of the few sides who could actually afford such a deal. The MEN have reported previously that City have rejected the chance to sign him - and L'Equipe suggest Manchester United legend Ronaldo is keen on a controversial move.

It would certainly represent a huge change in mind judging on his previous comments about such a deal.

Speaking ahead of Real Madrid's meeting with United in the 2013 Champions League the Portuguese forward reiterated his commitment to his former side, ruling out a move to the blue side of Manchester.
